Spotlight on: Madeline Weinrib

We made a special visit Madeline Weinrib’s offices to get a glimpse of all of the creativity that happens behind the scenes. What a feast for the eye! Madeline’s world is full of color and pattern – you feel like you’ve been transported to India!

In the showroom they have a plethora of readymade pillows, antique fabric remnants and color swatches to help you create your own one-of-a-kind custom rug. The possibilities and applications are limitless. We particularly loved the mid-century Swan chairs upholstered with ikat print – unexpected and fun idea!

Madeline, an established painter, created her first rug for ABC Home in 1997. She often draws inspiration from antique rug patterns and translates them into designs for the contemporary home. Her look is luxurious, whimsical and layered. She has developed not only a successful business, but has stayed true to herself with a style that is distinctly her own. What an inspiration!
